Frequently asked questions about Black Friday

Q: What day does Black Friday fall on this year?

A: Black Friday Day 2024 is officially friday 22 november, but as we do every year now, we will open the super discounts a few days earlier and close them the following week, right after Cyber Monday.

Q: How long does Black Friday last?

A: Black Friday started out as a single day of the year, but we at Sferaufficio have expanded this time window to include a few days before and after, so that our customers have plenty of time for their purchases.

Q: What can you buy during Black Friday?

A: At Sferaufficio we discount our entire catalogue every day, but for Black Friday we make an extra effort for the sectors where we are strongest: IT, consumer electronics and DIY.

Q: How does Black Friday come about?

A: The term came into common usage in Philadelphia in the 1960s, to denote the day of chaos in the streets for the highly popular Navy-Army football game, and the resulting overwork for the police. It later lost its negative connotation and became linked to an aspect of bookkeeping, indicating the day when shop balance sheets turned from red (hence negative) to positive, hence written in black pen. From here to taking on the meaning of 'day of exceptional discounts' is a short step.
